Web Internet Marketing

Web Internet Marketing

By Arnie Katz

Everything today is about Internet marketing services. It still is, however, it is now only part of the picture, of what ample Internet marketing services entail. Exactly, what is meant by Internet marketing services?

Internet marketing was born from the need of every website owner or business on the Web, to be able to obtain brand awareness and deliver goods and services to their customers online. It is important in the ever growing online marketplace that you not only work to sell your products or services but that you interact through your website and social media with your customers or clients.

Some even suggest that the social media marketplace will overtake the search engine marketing. There has never been anything that has grown in size as the Internet and online marketing. Remember, you want your website to be found wherever people are searching, and once they find your website to remain there to do business with you.

With a brick and mortar business, at least you have a chance to grab people before the leave. We can provide the means necessary including, social media marketing, press release marketing, blog marketing, video marketing as well as email marketing. If you do not believe that is a lot of Internet Science, then you really do not understand what Internet marketing is all about?

Internet marketing online is important for every business that has a website on the World Wide Web. It is also important that your website rank high in the search engine results. Without a high ranking, the ability to attract visitors will be limited, and the only means of any significant Internet marketing online will be through pay per click advertising or paid advertising in directories and on other websites. This can create a hardship for many small to mid sized companies.

Thinking back to the early 1990's, nobody had any inclining that by 2009 every aspect of our daily life would evolve about some new technology product. Today we truly live in a wondrous age.

Now, how does Internet marketing online figure into this equation. Who would have thought that a computer and the Internet would be involved with tens of billions of dollars in business advertising and online sales? That does not even include the other tens of billions of dollars of business-to-business transactions online.

That companies are spending tens of billions of dollars on "Internet Marketing Online" is a testament to the colossal growth of this new medium.

If a business does not have an Internet presence, people believe the business is behind the times and many are reluctant to buy or carry out a business transaction with that particular business. If you have a business, or are contemplating having a business, get it online.

Statistic that have been reported over the past several months bare out the importance of Internet marketing online if you want to have any success on the Web. In the U.S. in 2007 133 million people shopped online. By 2012 it is estimated that an additional 25 million people will shop online bringing the total to more than 150 million shoppers. By 2012 more than 141 million people will have bought something online that year. By 2012 it is believed that 89% of online shoppers will purchase something online, and average spending will grow to more than $1,500.00/individual. Online advertising will exceed 25 billion dollars in 2008.

There are fortunes to be made on the Internet, and online marketing is just in its infancy.

Your business name is usually the first thing a start up thinks about. How will I brand my business? Remember the age-old adage, Location, Location, Location. These are the three most important factors that will determine business success. Where your website is found in the major search engine listings is what location refers to on the Internet.

Your domain name has become one of the most important aspects in online business success. The trend today is leaning toward long tail generic domain names. I know many people will not agree with me, but just check any search term on the Internet. If you have the exact domain name as the search term and your website is well optimized with good content, chances are you will be found on the first page of the search engines.

As one can see they all have a similar flavor and could be built into successful online businesses. We tend to agree with the gentleman's premise. That is, we believe that there are still millions of domain names still to be acquired that have value.

Search Engine Marketing

Search Engine Marketing

By Andrew Gowans

The following article is one of a series of articles, which focus on Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing.

Search Engine Marketing - Increasing Your Search Engine Ranking

The methods employed to increase your search engine rankings may seem like rocket science to you, so you have probably avoided dealing with this issue. A high search engine ranking for your website is so essential that if you have the slightest desire to actually succeed in your business, there is no way you can continue to avoid this issue.

The idea of optimizing your pages for high search engine rankings is to attract targeted customers to your site who will be more than likely to make a purchase. The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the greater the traffic that is directed to your website. That's what search engine optimization is about.

You can immerse yourself in all the technical information available online to figure out how to optimize your web pages to achieve higher rankings. The first item you should examine is the title bar on your homepage.

The title bar is the colored bar at the top of the page. To increase search engine rankings, the words on your homepage's title bar should include the most important keywords or phrases, one of which would include your company name.

Then click on all your links and examine the title bars on the pages you access. Each title bar on every single page of your site should contain the most important keywords and phrases taken from the page itself. However, avoid very long strings of keywords, keeping them to six words or less.

Search engines generally list sites that contain quality content rather than scintillating graphics. The text on your site must contain the most important keywords - the words that potential customers will be typing into search engines to find your site.

If you want to achieve a high ranking on search engines, this text is essential. However, the search engines must be able to read the text, meaning that the text must be in HTML and not graphic format.

If you are able to do this, the text is HTML. If the text will not highlight, it is probably in graphic form. In this case, ask your Webmaster to change the text into HTML format in order to increase your search engine rankings.

Many people believe that Meta tags are the key to high search engine rankings, but in reality, they only have a limited effect. Still, it's worth adding them in the event that a search engine will use Meta tags in their ranking formula.

To find out if your page is set up with Meta tags, you must access the code. If there are Meta tags, they usually appear near the top of the window. For example, a Meta tag would read: Meta name="keywords" content=.

Almost all search engines use link popularity to rank your website. Link popularity is based on the quality of the sites you have linked to from your links page.

If you type in "free link popularity check" in a popular search engine, the search engine will then show you what sites are linked to your site. In the case that there aren't many sites linked up to yours, or that the sites that are linked up have low search engine rankings, consider launching a link popularity campaign. Linking to popular, quality sites not only boosts your search engine ranking, but it also directs more quality traffic to your website.

Search engine rankings are extremely important for a successful Internet marketing campaign. Remember, the higher your search engine ranking, the more quality customers will be directed your way.

Internet Marketing Workshops for Newbies

Internet Marketing Workshops for Newbies

By Nathalie Fiset

We all know what the world of Internet marketing can offer. To dispel these fears, there are Internet Marketing Workshops out there, which could help bring out the dormant tiger inside the timid cat.

If it is the very first time that you are attending a workshop that is meant for new or aspiring Internet marketers, it is best to know what to expect. These workshops are no different than most workshops that are held for other types of businesses. The one thing that separates Internet Marketing Workshops would have to be the subject of the workshop itself.

Before sitting down and listening to any of the new information that you are about to hear, it is important to remember that you have to listen with a fresh mind. Most of the things that you will hear for the first time might not coincide with your present knowledge. Be prepared to absorb new ideas, information and useful knowledge.

There are many testimonials online where the beginners often get disappointed during their very first Internet Marketing workshops all because the event ended with sales pitches. Most moderators for such workshops have years of experiences under their sleeves and to see them demonstrate the very essence of Internet marketing (which is selling!) would be a sight to behold and remember.

It is also common for Beginners' Internet Marketing workshops to come with problem-solving workshops, which would hone the decision-making skills of the participants. It is a fact that the world online could be a pretty tough world to survive especially if there are many other competitors who are offering the same type of products or services.

Do not be afraid to approach the speakers and give them your contact details. Remember that they are already established in this type of business and they can definitely help you. Don't hesitate to go around and meet people during the workshop.

Expect also some basic knowledge on blogging, e-mail management, search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, interactive advertising, affiliate marketing, viral marketing, and many other methods. The masters of Internet marketing hold the best workshops.

As a beginner in Internet marketing, there are so many lessons to learn and choosing to stick with your online business is just a small portion of the entire pie. Once you have decided which product or services you are going to offer online, it's time to consider other aspects of the online business such as driving traffic to the new site. What is the current trend on writing articles for Internet marketing? Play by some rules and the rest depends on your creativity!

An article layout normally comes in at 400-800 words. The body should be informative yet concise and the conclusion should be a paragraph worth remembering. For instance, if the article is all about the recipe for Bloody Mary, make sure that the words Bloody Mary are mentioned about 2%-5% on the entire article. So if you have an article with 400 words, the words Bloody Mary should be peppered at least 8 times on your entire work.

The last portion of the article should be the resource box (commonly called as the author bio). Remember, the signature link is where the author (that's you) will be able to drive and control the traffic to the site. When the link is created, make sure to create a new blog and have it posted with a link to an affiliate program that is being promoted (a concise introduction should also be included).

There are actually programs on the Internet, which can help beginners conquer their fear of writing and concentrate on more important matters such as focusing on Internet marketing. There are some software programs, which can aid on the creation of a basic article.

If this still doesn't work, there are article-writing workshops online which you could try your hands on. These aim to teach on a more practical level because this approach makes participants learn faster. Once making articles becomes second-nature to you, it is time to post these numerous articles to your website. Just remember to keep updating your site content from time to time.

You've learned and mastered the basics of search engine optimization and your Internet marketing efforts for your fledgling business have improved. Internet marketing dynamics never stop changing so there's never a time you'll find yourself without something to learn. Being able to learn beyond the basics, however, require you to possess and develop certain skills.

4 Things You Have to Equip Yourself with to Get to the Next Level of Internet Marketing

Ease and Adeptness in Using New Technology

You should learn how to be at ease and adept in learning how to use new technology. In the past, the Internet possessed only static pages, but websites now possess a high degree of interactivity between website management and users. If you're not prepared to go with the times and understand the latest inventions, you'll never be equipped for the next levels of Internet marketing.

Networking

In Internet marketing, going beyond the basics can never be fully achieved without the help of other people. You can say that you've bought all the books there are for Internet marketing, but it's still different when you learn directly from Internet marketing experts and you get to apply your knowledge in the real world under the guidance of people with more experience in the field than you have.

If you want to get your Internet marketing skills to the next level, you need to learn how to build and take care of your network.

Networkings include but are not limited to activities like participating in workshops and seminars, joining forums and online groups, and working together with other Internet marketers in various projects. If you're not ready to acknowledge the reality that there are other people in the Internet marketing industry besides you then you're not ready at all to step beyond the basics of your chosen field.

Taking Risks

The basics of Internet marketing tend to have relatively simple demands on your skills. Once you graduate from the basic levels however, you'll realize that the Internet marketing activities demanded of you possess varying degrees of risk either to your profit ratio or your company name. But these risks are normal. Indeed, they're part and parcel of Internet marketing and unless you learn how to take smart risks, you might be doom to stay an Internet marketing novice for perpetuity.

Openness of Mind

Internet marketing will almost always require you to think out of the box. Remember that the Internet caters to a very global community so placing the usual limits on your thoughts, such as geographical restrictions and cultural differences would only be to your disadvantage.

Interactive Campaign Marketing

Interactive Campaign Marketing

By Melissa Brewer

Interactive campaign marketing is the key to return visitors to your website, no matter what you are selling or marketing. Unfortunately, businesses without interactivity on the web are sure to flounder, especially with the trend towards social media sites such as Myspace and Youtube. Your customers and website visitors need to interact with your business - and trust it, to be successful.

Hosting a contest that gets your visitors involved with your company and products. Video contests are ideal for this - they are free and easy to manage using YouTube.

Worried that an interactive contest campaign is too costly or time-consuming? Don't worry - we've got you covered - step-by-step. Your campaign will need a promotion until the contest ends - but the basics should be easy to cover and check on.

1. First things first - get your business on Myspace and YouTube. Sign up at http://www.youtube.com and http://www.myspace.com. (Tip: there are tons of boutiques and bookstores on Myspace, and they're easy to find using the Myspace search engine...) Make sure you use your business name or keywords when you choose your URL. (Our company's Myspace URL is: http://www.myspace.com/capitalcreative) (Our company's channel is at: http://www.youtube.com/capitalcreative to see an example of how a channel at Youtube will look.)

2. Plan a contest - not a drawing, but a competition. That's right - this isn't going to cost you money, but it may cost you a free gift certificate, book, or other piece of your business inventory. Plan on at least having a grand prize, if not first, second, and third prizes. For an effective campaign, you'll want to limit your contest to 30 to 45 days. Choose an item you really want to push - in many cases, your customers may buy it if they don't win...

3. Decide what the contest is going to be about - and what you want your customers to think about your company. Many bigger companies even ask users to submit their own commercials for a specific product. The key to this contest is to build excitement for your products and company - so ask a question to your prospects that help them think about your brand and how it relates to them.

4. Create a Youtube Group for your contest. (http://www.youtube.com/groups_create) You get a free bulletin board in the group, so link to your contest guidelines and your business on Myspace. Let everyone know contest updates will be announced on Myspace and via your mailing list.

5. Create a Contest Page on your website. List the rules and the theme of your contest. Although the video contest will be on Youtube, you'll want to collect their email addresses and the URL of their video either by form or email, depending on your preferences. Link to your Myspace profile and Youtube Group prominently. Not sure what the contest rules should entail? Do a Google search for "contest guidelines" and write up your own.

6. Announce your contest. Every place you announce your contest, you'll want to promote the URL of your Youtube Group, Contest URL, and Myspace profile. (if you already have a Myspace profile, then announce the contest to everyone once a week, using a bulletin...) Oh, yeah - and those free contest websites - there are thousands of them with avid contest entrants. (http://www.contesthound.com/addcontest.php3, http://www.contestalley.com/submitcontest.shtml, to name a few)

7. Promote until the day the contest closes. Continue listing your contest in forums and directories, with a link to your contest page - if you list your contest in just 5 places a day, you can achieve prominence quickly.

8. Choose your winners and give them some publicity. Let all of your entrants know where to see the winning videos - and make them an offer they can't refuse. Let your website visitors know where to see the results of the contest. Post the winning video on your website and any other place you promote your business. Ask winners for their photographs and post them in your Myspace profile as " recent contest winners". Send out press release announcing the winners - and the theme for your next contest.

Have fun with contests - when you run a contest, you build your company's image and brand awareness. A contest is a great way to generate enthusiasm with your website visitors, add people to your mailing list, and achieve brand recognition. Contests also tend to be very viral in nature - people share them with their friends and there are tons of contest fanatics on the web that republish information for their own website visitors.

Email Marketing Lesson

Email Marketing Lesson

By: Joan Pasay

Seems my Starbucks cappuccino machine had gotten lost with the movers. I set my Starbucks radar on full alert and followed the trail of casual business attire.

Mr. Pibs had been coming to that particular Starbucks since it opened. Every afternoon about the same time as my current 'mind fade,' he too needed a fix. Mr. Pibs told me he was in wholesale pet supplies and owned his own manufacturing facility. We sipped our coffees and chatted about business. I asked him how he marketed his products to potential retail outlets.

"We have a subscriber-based mailing list," he said. "About 2500 quality pet stores across the US."

I was impressed! 2500 leads do not sound like much but these stores had asked to be contacted. The stores were real, potential buyers looking for product. "So do you keep in touch monthly or do you find seasonal works better?" I casually asked.

"Monthly!" Mr. Pibs exclaimed in horror. "That would be $50,000 of postage a year! No, we send our full color brochure on an annual basis, costs us about $4000 in mailing fees. I pull a few ladies off the assembly line and get them licking stamps and stuffing envelopes. We've been doing our marketing like this since the second year we started. Sure is great that printing is a lot cheaper these days. Saves us a bundle!"

"Mr. Pibs, are you insane?" I yelled at the top of my lungs, and started to rant, arms waving. "What marketing cave did you just crawl out of? Why not put your catalogue online? Why not use a regular Email Marketing campaign to keep in touch with the pet stores on a regular basis? Are you anti-technology? Why are on earth are you sending all that stuff by mail?"

Victoria's Secret

I turned to Mr.Pibs, and noticed he was frozen, mouth hanging open in shock at my Email Marketing, arm waving, soapbox speech.

Grandma grabbed the vacant seat next to Mr. Pibs and plopped herself down, scooting her behind, desperately trying to get it past the arm rests.

Mr. Pibs thawed and whispered in horror, "That women has a pair of underwear -- on her head."

And sure enough my Grandmother did indeed have a pair of Victoria's Secret underwear on her head, covering up a mass of curlers.

"Child," my grandmother said, "I have been looking everywhere for you!" Noticing Mr. Pibs, and unaware he and I had been having a conversation, Grandma looked a little alarmed at my tiny frozen friend. "Tiny man," she said, "You look ill, is the coffee too strong for your tiny stomach?"

"Grandma," I spoke slowly, turning toward Mr. Pibs. "This is my new friend, Mr. Pibs."
Then: "Mr. Pibs, I apologize for my Email Marketing rant, this is my Grammy. We had a coffee date this afternoon."

Mr.Pibs sat still, staring at my grandmother's hair curler cover. "Woman, why is there underwear on your head?"

Mr. Pibs' marketing strategy was a lot like those underwear. I met Mr. Pibs again for coffee (without the distraction of Grammy and her head gitch) and mentioned to him that any company that was not active online and using Email Marketing might want to retire. It was kind of tough explaining all that Email Marketing stuff to Mr.Pibs; he was a real Email Marketing newbie.

I kept going with the gonch theme and Mr. Pibs slowly began to understand the difference in each type of Email Marketing approach. We talked Email Marketing strategy and how a drawer full of a variety of underwear styles was truly the best option for total marketing support.

If you are having a tough time explaining Email Marketing to your antique boss or your clients, feel free to try on some of these. Large figured women wear petty pants to prevent the thighs from rubbing together. We did not realize it until later that day but Grandma's saggy underwear got left on the table at Starbucks along with a business card I had whipped out during my Email Marketing rant.

I've also been reworking my own regular email marketing campaign in light of my decision to try a lower cut brief for regular wear. Is your marketing approach a little sagged, over stretched and worn out? Try Email Marketing on for size. The other day a friend of mine received a rather strange Email Marketing message.

Was something from the metaphysical trying to send a message to my friend via these emails?

What else could be the reason for such a strange Email Marketing message?

Duplicate Freaky Email Marketing Message Investigation Step One:

I had to know if my friend subscribed to these Email lists.

Duplicate Freaky Email Marketing Message Investigation Step Two:

I thought it would be prudent to find out who owned these Email Marketing lists.

Duplicate Freaky Email Marketing Message Investigation Step Three:

Since I did not receive the Email Marketing messages myself I knew I needed to see them just to make sure my friend was relating the information to me correctly.

Duplicate Freaky Email Marketing Message Investigation Step Four:

I thought long and hard about the implications of two un-related Email Marketing messages, from two separate Email list owners, sending the same message.

Could these Email Marketing messages be a sign of direction from a metaphysical being that thought my friend was lazy?

I also solved the case of the Duplicate Freaky Email Marketing Message.

My friend had experienced what is becoming quite common - Receiving offensive Email Marketing messages that cross the line.

You don't give your Email list members the message that they are lazy.

Auto Internet Marketing

Auto Internet Marketing

By Jason A. Osborn

Auto Internet marketing is the only way to run your marketing campaign if you are serious about making money. You don't have a lot of time to put into Internet marketing. If you are an affiliate or selling a product or service of your own, you need to be selling to prospects you have, not spending your time creating new prospects.

The only way to put your Internet marketing truly on autopilot is with an auto responder and a lead captures method. You can create a lead capture page completely separate from your site, or you can create integrated sign up boxes on entry or exit of your site.

Whatever method you use, you have to have a way to collect names and email addresses on the Internet. This way you are constantly marketing to your prospects without having to lift a finger. When someone shows real interest by contacting you, you can actively pursue him or her and sell to him or her.

Up until a few years ago the idea of taking the marketing of automobiles onto the Internet was laughable. With all of the available options, selling cars online has become commonplace for both individuals and dealers.

There are several auto Internet marketing methods that can guarantee success. There are also many classified sites for selling automobiles only, which offer local marketing options. Auction sites are also available, such as the cars section of eBay, but these are not necessarily the safest way to buy or sell a car.

It is generally good practice to only sell a car in the location in which you live. This allows people to see the car first hand and in person before purchasing. Of course, there are other means of marketing locally as well using typical Internet marketing tactics, such as article marketing.

The key is to include your location in all marketing efforts. You can also use landing pages to build potential customer lists and use auto responders to communicate with your clientele the same as any other internet marketer.
